The truth is, comfort has several components. Smoothing bumps is one. But if that comes at the cost of stability, predictability or precision, then the experience still sucks.
Bo gives you that 911 feeling; you know the bumps are there, but you also know exactly how the vehicle is responding to them.

The aim of this article is to give a comprehensive update on the latest EU e-scooter legislation, where we can find data.

Wondering if your electric scooter is legal in your state? Welcome to our comprehensive analysis. If you're after the European version it's posted separately in the articles page. This 2025 guide breaks down U.S. scooter laws by state, including where scooters like Bo are allowed, and any additional information we can find such as licensing rules or age restrictions.

And the best part? Because Bo’s motor system is more efficient, we get all that extra performance without sacrificing range. In fact, we get more range from the same battery.
More power and more range. It’s the holy grail.

So too with scooters - although we have always found scooting ultra convenient, when riding our scooters like the Segway GMax or Xiaomi the reality is we were working 'around' the twitchy, uncomfortable handling. Put differently, it never felt ultra safe or relaxing; we just got used to it. Once we came to recognise that, it started a three year engineering programme to solve it. To this day, the single most important innovation we have developed at Bo is a system called Safesteer™.

When we first started scooting, we loved the freedom riding our Segway GMax gave us - but we hated the actual ride. It was too floppy, too fragile. We read about the mass recalls, the hinges snapping, and it felt like a matter of time until we had a crash.
That’s why we created Bo - the ultimate Segway upgrade.
